Pico de Orizaba (Veracruz, Mexico) - 18,701'
aka- Citlaltpetl, aka- Star Mountain
Orizaba's exact elevation is disputed & has been reported as high as just shy of 19.000'. What is established is that it is the 3rd highest peak in North America. Alaska's Mount McKinley is highest at 20,322' and Canada's Mount Logan second at 19,550'. Alaska's St. Elias is fourth at 18,008'. Sure, Everest was measured inaccurately originally in the early 1800's, but this is the 21st century & the only thing everyone can agree upon about Orizaba is that it is in fact tall.
