The Ballcourt
In this court which dwarfs a football field, participants literally played the
game of their lives. The object was to pass a hard rubber ball through a hoop high on the
wall at midfield without using one's hands or feet. The ball represented the sun and it
was not permitted to allow the ball to touch the ground. Games ended in sacrifice of
either the winners or losers or both. The acoustics of the Ballcourt are legendary. |
